BTL - Smooth pipe coils In industrial plants it is quite common to face dusty air, oil suspensions and so on. A typical example of such cases are the paper mills or the flue gas heat recovery plants at high temperature. Under these circumstances it is most suitable the use of BTL smooth pipes batteries. Like BTA these exchangers are characterized by a great construction flexibility, allowing to use pipes with diameters more suitable for fluids, with appropriate materials and thickness. Like for the BTA model this is especially important when working under severe operating conditions, facing corrosion, temperature and pressure problems and when it it necessary to comply with national or international construction RULES. (PED, UNI, ISPESL, ASME etc.)
Technical specifications: The most commonly used materials are stainless steel and carbon steel. The pipes have a high thickness, that can vary from a minimum of 1.5 mm for steel pipes, up to 3 mm for carbon steel ones. The test is performed using dried compressed air with a scale from 10 to 30 bar and immersion in water tank. This system will surely identify and eliminate any irregularity and losses on the welds and on the entire tube bundle and it will leave no traces of moisture inside the tubes.
Typical applications: For their stability, durability, and reliability BTL are particularly suitable for use in drying /curing ovens, flexographic printing presses, heat recovery in low and high temperature applications, intermediate fluid recovery systems, conditioning plants, paper-mills, chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, etc.
