BTA - finned tube coils These exchangers are characterized by a high construction flexibility. The finned tube coils allow the use of pipes having the most suitable diameter for the employed fluids; pipes can be of all kind of metals, qualities and of any required thicknesses. Finning can be made by using ribbons of any metals, with variable height, thickness and spacing.
Manufacturing standards Following these standards is especially important if you need to produce equipments capable of operating under severe service conditions, facing corrosion temperature and pressure problems, in accordance with national or international construction RULES (PED, UNI, ISPESL, ASME etc.).
Technical and construction specifications: The most frequent combinations between pipes and fins are lnox / lnox Inox / Al - Fe / Fe - Fe / AI. The pipes have a high thickness. Minimum thickness for steel pipes 1.5 mm ; carbon steel pipes have a max. thickness of 3 mm. Spiral fins have a high thickness (minimum 0.4 ), with a perfect mechanical adherence to the pipes.
Testing The test is performed by using dry compressed air with scale from 10 to 30 bar and immersion in water tank. This system will surely identify and eliminate any anomalies and losses on the welds and on the entire tube bundle and it will leave no traces of moisture inside the tubes.
Typical applications: BTA are robust, stable and long lasting units, particularly suitable for use in drying /curing ovens, flexographic printing presses, heat recovery at low and high temperatures, intermediate fluid recovery, conditioning plants, paper-mills, chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, etc.
